Wednesday's Trek

Hello again, blogfans!
Today's journey took us round about until we got to Kerrville and then down TX 16 to San Antonio - one of the most beautiful drives in the country, I believe! Last year, we made the same journey except that we went from San Antonio to Kerrville and came back on I-10. One day, if land is still available in the area, I think I'd like to retire to the Medina/Bandera area - it's got to be one of the prettiest places I think I've ever seen!
Anyway, once we got to San Antonio, we stopped at the Alamo and did the tour of that place and then walked the River Walk for a spell, stopping only to eat. We ate at "the Original Mexican Restaraunt." From the way it acted in our gastrointestinal tracts, I think some of the food was original as well! It reminded me of a very old joke:
Marlon - Maybelle, did I tell you about the eggs I bought the other day?

Maybelle - No, Marlon! Please tell me!

Marlon - Well, I bought me a dozen eggs the other day and on one of the eggs was written 'to any gentleman suitor - PLEASE write!'

Maybelle - Well, Marlon, you're not married.....did you write?

Marlon - No......after I opened the egg, I knew by this time she must be a very old lady!

Well, tomorrow, if the weather holds, we're going to go "tubing" on the river. It's been awhile since I did THAT, so it should be interesting!
