I went to the Gastroenterologist on Monday; he wants to do a colonoscopy. I went to the Dermatolgist today; she did a biopsy from a patch on my nose. I have an appointment on Monday to see the GP; she'll probably want to do a spinal tap, or some such nonsense. What is it with these people!? I mean, you turn 50 and all of a sudden, your good health and assurance thereof just go by the wayside? When I was 49 nobody wanted to go "Deliverance" on me! At 49, the funny-looking patch of skin on my nose was nothing to be concerned about! Now, at 50, all of these (and who knows what else!) are alarming and potentially life-threatening! I have to admit; I don't get it! Are symptoms less theatening at 49 than at 50? Am I more likely to develop polyps in my colon now than I was just a couple of months ago? Go figure!
All that aside, I am the most blessed man on the planet! Not only do I have GREAT insurance coverage, I have the most beautiful, understanding, compassionate, and loving wife in God's creation! Praise God forever! That said, I do covet your prayers should any of this turn out as a bad report!
