So here's the health scoop

The GP called the other day and wanted to do a repeat PSA because my results were "elevated."

I had one done in November of 2006 and the result was 0.6 ng/ml. According to the lab report I got then, a "normal" range is anywhere from 0.0 to 4.0 ng/ml. Anyway, my doctor seemed concerned with the recent result, reported at 1.7. Uhhhh......isn't 1.7 less than 4.0? I don't get it!

Of course, the doctor was unavailable for comment when I went in today to get the repeat lab work done.

Also today, the dermatologist's office called and said that the recent biopsy that was done on my nose was positive for basal cell carcinoma.

Apparently, BCC is not that big a deal, but anytime you hear "cancer" it's kind of startling. Anyway, I've got to call another doctor who's going to deal with it for me.

Should be fun.

Stay tuned; more later. - Dan
