...until the cadre of doctors I went to last week started poking around!
The Dermatologist took a biopsy of a spot she considered "suspicious" from the side of my nose and burned a bunch of other spots off with that little liquid nitrogen gun. People have been asking what happened, which led me into a long explanation of the trip and what they found, etc. MDB suggested that I should shorten it up a bit and just tell them "bar fight."
Actually, a bar fight would be much more believable anyway!
Then I went to the Proctologist (well...MDB says that he's a "Gastroenterologist," but I have a hard time spelling that correctly, so "Proctologist" is what he is until he gives me a clean bill!) and he decided that I needed to have a colonoscopy, so today I'm doing the liquid diet thing to prepare for THAT bit of unpleasantness tomorrow.
Monday was the day for the GP to poke around. They called yesterday and said that my PSA was a bit elevated and wanted to know if I had results from any previous PSAs. I do, indeed; a year ago November I had one done and it was normal. I guess I'll need some kind of follow-up on THAT as well. Fun times...fun times!
All that aside, praise God for His blessings! He has led me and sustained me through my whole life until this point; I know that He will continue to do so as I stumble through this uncharted territory of "health concerns." Praise God forever!
Meanwhile, if anyone feels led to pray about any of this, I do covet your prayers and I will keep you posted! - Dan
