Is Clinton Electible?

Well, Hillary won in Nevada, and it begs the question; is Clinton electible?

I sure hope not!

One thing you have to consider is the fact that Democrat primaries basically "poll" those who intend to vote Democrat, leaving the majority of Americans behind. I hope the people who watch from the sidelines don't read too much into a Clinton victory in the Democratic party. I mean, after all, Muskie, McCarthy, and a litany of other Democrat candiates, won the nomination of their party after the primary season and found that Americans don't buy into their notion of government first, last, and always. I hope we're seeing a replay of history. Sadly, my concern is that people are so fed up with George W that they'll seek relief wherever they can find it and that relief will take the form of a Democrat, whoever that is. If it's Clinton, I'm afraid we're in for at least four years of skyrocketing spending on social boondoggle that will generate little in terms of real results, but will make everyone feel good for the effort; at least those on the Democrat side of the aisle.

I abide by the original notion of the conservative; give a man a fish and he eats for one day: teach a man to fish, and he eats for a lifetime. Let's teach America to fish. before the provision of fish bankrupts us all! - Dan

I really don't care who the Dem. candidate is this time around. I just hope NONE of them are electable. the Rep. group isn't that much better, but I'm more in line with the party's philosophy. Of them all, I'm still banking on Rudy finally getting up a head of steam so he can roll through the upcoming primaries, right into the Convention and the nomination.

One can always dream, can't one? ;)

As I said before, I like Rudy, but I don't give him much of a chance to come out of all this with the nomination. His campaign reminds me of the one Bush senior ran against Hillary's husband; passionless!

You're right though...one can always hope and dream! Who knows; maybe Rudy will find that old spark and ignite the electorate!

My absolute favorite potential candidate has made it clear he will NOT run. What a shame 'cause I think Newt would make a wonderful, strong, internationally capable president. Oh well! Maybe next time. ;)
